STAKE CONFERENCE TODAY
Those of you who attended the various stake conference sessions over the weekend are likely feeling richly rewarded. It seemed that every talk was especially powerful and the music was pretty killer also.

We were especially blessed to hear from President Peterson this morning. He spoke about a lot of things but in particular, he said that trials are not an indication that God has forsaken you. He also talked a lot about the importance of knowing who you really are and that will really change things in your life.

Then Elder McKay also talked about the importance of knowing who you really are and how that gives you more power in life. (I think all this talk about really knowing who you are is important and I noticed that it is a main moral theme of the recently released movie Captain Marvel.) Elder McKay went on to talk about the sacrament and made the point that in our week, the two hours we spend at church is like being within the walls of the ancient Israelite temple and the time during the sacrament is like being in the Holy of Holies in that same temple. He also said that we should think of sacrament meeting in a more literal sense of it being a funeral service for the Savior as it's as if His body is on the table under that white sheet. We should consider how we would act at that sort of service and try and be that way in sacrament meeting each week.
