Sacrament Meeting
Camille Woodward
She had 2 grandmothers with unfeigned faith. Her grandma was awesome and actually went into the high school classes with her cousin to make sure he focused enough to graduate.

Instead of just watching, mothers act.

Eve was called “mother” before she ever had children. To mother, is to love.

The primary children serenaded us with the hit songs "I Often Go Walking" and "Mother I Love You".

Daren Woodward
Daren has learned Christlike qualities from his wife, who will soon be a mother.
She has compassion, she comforts others, and she serves others.

Daren had 3 older sisters so it was like he had 4 moms.

His mom taught him that if you have a goal, you work hard to do it.

His mother taught him to be humble.

Second Hour
Elders Quorum
Steve Irvine led the discussion about the Atonement and motherhood.
Steve’s mother had 12 children. He is number 6. His parents have been on 4 missions for the church.

When we don’t forgive ourselves or others, we are denying that the Savior has the power to redeem and putting limits on the atonement.

The Elders Quorum is in charge of cooking breakfast at Fathers and Sons campout this weekend.

Relief Society
The lesson was lead by Sister Foote on President Eyring's talk, "A Home Where the Spirit of the Lord Dwells". The importance of family scripture study, temple attendance and the new "Come, Follow Me" curriculum were given as examples of ways to teach children how to lead a Christ-centered life. Beautiful personal stories were shared that exemplified these correct principals.

Starting on November 4, 2019, the St. George Temple will be closing for 3 years for extensive renovation. Most of the members of that temple district have been assigned to attend the Las Vegas Temple. During past closures of the St. George Temple, attendance at the Las Vegas Temple has drastically increased. In preparation for this increased usage, more ordinance workers are needed. Workers are needed now to allow for training. If you have the ability to serve, please contact Bishop Burham. A recent policy change now allows sisters with dependent children living at home to serve as an ordinance worker.

Come Follow Me
This week our families are studying Come Follow Me: Matthew 19-20; Mark 10; Luke 18

Bermuda Ward Events
Ward FHE is tomorrow at 6pm the young women will be in charge. Please bring a snack to share.

Fathers and Sons Campout - This weekend 5/17-5/18, up at Camp Kimball.
Here is an old map that some explorers found of the campsite in some archives in the attic of an old tee-pee.

Missionary Dinners - Please invite our awesome sister missionaries over to your home for dinner!
  • On weekdays, the mission would like you to have a recent convert, a less active member, or a non-member present at the dinner.
  • On weekends, anything goes. Get them over and get them fed. They like red meat.
It'll be a blessing no matter what.
