Bermuda Ward Sunday Sampler
5/26/19
Zacchaeus in the sycamore tree. He climbed up so he could see the Savior as he passed. The Savior stopped and called him by name and said he would have dinner at his house. Some people judged Zacchaeus as being unrighteous but the Savior knew him differently. This is a lesson for us not to be judgemental of others because we cannot see their hearts like the Savior does.

Sacrament Meeting
Sister Marshall
Hymn #185 is the only one that is as if the Savior is talking to us.
The three speakers today are all in non-traditional family situations.
She prepares to go to the Wednesday night class by reading the study material and scriptures.
What better way to increase your testimonies than by reading about the Saviors life.
Pres Nelson, “There is trouble ahead. Prepare for attacks from the adversary. “
In reading the New Testament, we can learn how to treat others.

Sister Stewart
Gospel learning strengthens our faith, but it doesn’t happen all at once. Make your home a place of peace and love.
Our spiritual health is just as important as our physical health.
“Home can be an echo of heaven.” Elder Holland.

Sister Ursin
We need to be looking for opportunities to teach our children all the time.
Stories help children understand the scriptures and gospel principles.
You can use The Friend as a supplement to Come Follow Me for young children.
Try to involve children in the gospel stories.
Music is also a good teaching tool for children.
As parents, we often can’t plan the time of our influence on our children.

Second Hour
Elders Quorum
Elders Quorum
Joe Wyson led the lesson.

What brings us joy in this life? Is the point of this life to experience joy?
Some people genuinely enjoy serving the Lord.

Relief Society
The topic was the talk given by Neil L. Andersen, "The Eye of Faith"
We learned how to recognize truth by listening to the Spirit. The Family Proclamation was discussed in detail. Neither the Father, the Son, or the Holy Ghost will force themselves into our life. We must open the door to welcome them.

Primary
The Cub Scouts have Day Camp this week.  Here are two things they need to know.  Thanks for all who serve in Primary and for the awesome children and parents!

Come Follow Me
This week our families are studying JST Matthew 1, Matthew 25, Mark 12-13, Luke 21

Missionary Dinners - Please invite our awesome sister missionaries over to your home for dinner! You can call them anytime at 702-203-7341
  • On weekdays, the mission would like you to have a recent convert, a less active member, or a non-member present at the dinner.
  • On weekends, anything goes. Get them over and get them fed. They like red meat.

It'll be a blessing no matter what.
