Brandon Olds
God is not vengeful but loving.
There were some people in the war in heaven who liked satan’s ideas but stayed on God’s side because they loved Him.
God sends missionaries to us throughout our eternal journey.
Thinks of himself as a patient person, although some people get on his nerves.
Heavenly Father wants our eternal glory more than we do.
He is going on his mission to Uruguay.
He leaves for the Mexico MTC on 6/18/19

Brother Nash
Brings the greetings and love of our stake presidency.
Elder Nelson’s talk, “Let Your Faith Show”
Our mortal reality is that we will be tested.
If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
A key way you can measure our faith is by how we spend our time. Particularly our free time.
Eagles spend their free time soaring in the lofty heights. Hogs spend their free time wallowing in mud.

Second Hour
Elders Quorum
Bro. Wennerlind led the discussion.
Elder Rasband’s talk, “Build a Fortress of Spirituality and Protection”
What have we done to progress spiritually?
Ryan Wennerlind said he makes it a point to attend sacrament meeting when he’s out of town and it’s always a good experience.
Lamont Lindsey said that he has recently been giving one of his sons advice about how to get more spiritually in line and he realized he needed to take his own advice.
Sean Marshall said that he is helped spiritually by trying to see people the way God sees them.
Norm Gregor said that we can strive to set an example to others.

How do we fortify our homes?
We protect our bodies by keeping the word of wisdom. We had a great discussion about the importance of taking care of our bodies.

How do we fortify our homes?
A gun, and also family council.

Brother Ryan Wennerlind throwing down a masterful lesson about beefing up our spirituality

For the lesson on June 23rd, we will be discussing Sister Becky Craven's talk, "Careful Versus Casual"

Relief Society
Heather Stringham led us in a discussion.

When John the Baptist baptized the Savior, he said "Behold the Lamb of God" there were so many other appropriate titles he could have used, why this one? It was to focus on the sacrifice the Savior made for all of us. We discussed the importance of being more reverent in the chapel before and after the meeting. We also discussed the importance of focusing on repenting of our sins and on remembering the Savior's sacrifice during the entire meeting.

June 13th at 6:30 is our monthly enrichment meeting, "A slice of friendship". We are making homemade pizza and enjoying each other's company

Missionary Dinners - Please invite our awesome sister missionaries over to your home for dinner! You can call them anytime at 702-203-7341
  • On weekdays, the mission would like you to have a recent convert, a less active member, or a non-member present at the dinner.
  • On weekends, anything goes. Get them over and get them fed. They like red meat.
It'll be a blessing no matter what.
