Mission Prep Class

Mission Prep will be tonight at 7pm at the Maryland/Serene building pavilion.


Martha Serra's Funeral Service

We regret to inform everyone that Sister Martha Serra has passed away. Her funeral service will be held at the Maryland/Serene building tomorrow, Monday, Oct 26th, at 7pm.


Please observe the same safety protocol as we do with our sacrament meetings. More importantly than that though, please also observe Martha's wish that nobody wears black. Instead, wear something colorful.

The gathering of Israel.
Israel means ‘one who prevails with God’ or ‘one who lets God prevail’
At times we may feel that we aren’t close to God but we will always see later that he mercifully gathers us to Him.
The covenants and administration of the Church is how He gathers us.
Once we are part of Israel, we get to assist in gathering others.


Sister LaFeber
Started her mission in the Philippines
Was reassigned to Las Vegas due to COVID and was still on quarantine.
This pandemic can be a huge blessing in many ways.
God has prepared us for this time.

Captivity
What is a captive? - A person whose ability to move or act is limited by an external force.
Do we work to become free or do we simply try to make our captivity more comfortable?
When we accept the invitation to come to Christ, we accept that there will be change.
There are many ways that we are captive or stuck. We all have something that we want to improve. Sometimes, the solution is harder than we want it to be. It’s called a sacrifice.
