What is important to us in life?
Was a piano teacher for 35 years. Her husband got her a nice piano. The piano was delivered but something was wrong. They called the dealer and he sent 2 diff piano techs and they both said the piano was broken and couldn’t be fixed.
Her mom told her she needed to put elbow grease into cleaning and that is a parallel on how we access the atonement.
We believe that through the atonement of Christ, all mankind can be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel.
Through Christ, we can all be made whole just like the piano that she got as a replacement for the broken one.
Has a son named Nick who was rebellious. He got addicted to pain pills for 10 years. It was really rough. She wished that Nick would have an awakening like Alma the younger. He eventually had a life-altering accident and is now in a nursing home with permanent brain damage. She eventually got the impression that God did intervene in his life but not in the way she expected.
All that is wrong in life can be made right through Christ.

“Consider the Goodness and Greatness of God” -Elder Renlund
4 objectives
- Hearing the Lord and listening
- Relying on the Lord
- Express gratitude
- Enduring to the end
The prophets have often asked us to recall the goodness of God.
I do not think that God is insulted when we forget Him, but rather disappointed in our loss.
God asked us to hear His Son.
