Preparation.

How we can prepare for the rest of our lives.

We are being prepared by everyone from a young age. But what for?

Heavenly Father tests us in all ways to prepare us. Sometimes we don’t understand the ways he prepared us.

You need to learn to talk to Heavenly Father like your best friend, like he’s right next to you.

Luke 2:52 Jesus increased in:

-Wisdom (learning)

-Stature (physical)

-Favor with God (spiritual)

-Favor with man (social)

Our relationship with Him doesn’t need to be perfect in order for us to commune with Him.

Most of the Stake came out of the OG Bermuda Ward

Bishop Parmenter was the first Bermuda bishop.

Are you willing to let God prevail in your life?

Are you willing to let Him be more important than anything else?

Visited the Holy Land in 2015.

He liked the Valley of Elah. This is where the battle between David and Goliath happened. This story is in 1 Samuel.

Where did David get the courage to face Goliath?

They who keep their first estate shall be added upon. They who keep their second estate will be added upon forever.

Obedience to Heavenly Father and loyalty to the Savior.

A few updates on various members of our ward:
Update on April Olds:
She had her feeding tube removed on Thursday. She is no longer connected to the hospital.
She is able to eat the food provided by the hospital. All her meds are taken orally.
She does have a urinary tract infection which is being treated with antibiotics.
She is still in pain with the nerve pain which is being treated medically.
She had good movement of her arms and hands although she has no strength in them.
She has limited movement of her legs and feet. She continues to have sciatic nerve pain and pain in her hamstrings. The therapists are working to stretch them out.
Today, we took the electric wheelchair outside so she could smell the rain.
She is still scheduled to be discharged on March 5. That date is reviewed by her care team weekly.
To be discharged, she needs to be able to do the following four tasks:
-dress herself
-bathe herself
-get herself in bed
-go to the bathroom by herself
We appreciate all the prayers and fasting on her behalf.
Thank you for all the cards. She appreciates them and your thoughtfulness.

Update on Barbara Mills:
She is doing better, The Englands went to see her in the rehab center and give her a Valentines card and flower. She was very happy. She is getting stronger and was going home on Saturday. Still has some issues with her heart but Kathy England is taking her to a cardiologist this week. She is so glad to get home even though they took very good care of her in the rehab center.

Update on Dale Hunt:
Hangin in there. The Hunts are very grateful for the prayers from the ward. The doctors are considering a pacemaker.

This week our families are studying: D&C 14-17, "Stand as a Witness"

Please take some time this week to reach out to those in our ward who haven't been out to Church for a while. Let them know we miss them and care about them.
