Bermuda Ward Sunday Sampler - 2/21/21

The amazing Barlow family, and the wonderful Garrards... and Jesus in the back.

We will be broadcasting our sacrament meeting each week for the foreseeable future. We really hope that we will still get to see all of your smiling faces each week, but this is an option if needed. The link below will always be the way to access the live stream:

Sacrament Meeting

Briggs Barlow

Has the cleanest room in the Barlow home.

Also throws the best curveball

Is excited that his brother is being ordained as a priest.

Glad to be coming back to church so that he can fulfill his duties as a deacon.

Sarah Barlow

Concerned about the camera

She is teaching Sunday School later today

She was raised in the church

Has a lot of memories of her parent's dedicated Church service.

It doesn’t matter what calling we have, it depends on how we serve.

Counsel with your leaders and let them know how you want to serve.

Our ward family is an extension of our nuclear family.

We have other callings in life outside of Church. Your patriarchal blessing will give you guidance on this.

As a toddler, Makenzie made her nose bleed once.

List of ways to serve:

  • Smile
  • Hold the door
  • Help someone get to a place
  • But someone lunch
  • Roadside assistance
  • Invite someone to dinner
  • Help someone achieve their goals
  • Teach what you know
  • Listen to people
  • Mentor someone
  • Share a book
  • Apologize
  • Sincerely compliment someone
  • Encourage others
  • Support the missionaries
  • Introduce friends to other friends
  • Reach out to people who seem uncomfortable.
  • Don’t judge
  • Cheer loudly
  • Brag about other people
  • Ask open-ended questions
  • Write a note to someone
  • Stay healthy

Tyler Barlow

He has a nose and a mouth under his mask.

He was prompted to text an old mission companion once. When he did, the guy responded snarkily. The guy was going through some tough stuff and Tyler helped him out.

He now has made the commitment to reach out to people when he feels prompted.

Look for ways to reach out to people or serve them in other ways.

We hope you were able to watch the friend-to-friend broadcast yesterday. If you were unable to watch, you can still access it here:

Come Follow Me

This week our families are studying: D&C 18-19 "The Worth of Souls Is Great"

Please take some time this week to reach out to those in our ward who haven't been out to Church for a while. Let them know we miss them and care about them.
