Jen Johansson

Joined the church during the pandemic and hasn’t really experienced the social aspect of the Church.

Prayer as a Catholic was a repetitious experience.

Was very excited to learn to use prayer to build a relationship with Heavenly Father.

God wants us to be specific in our prayers.

Several phrases to get a prayer going:

  1. I’m sorry
  2. I need help
  3. Thank you
  4. I love you

What we have as Latter Day Saints is very special.

Davy Johansson

Happy to be married to a great gal.

It’s been about 20 years since he has been active.

Coming back to church has been a journey.

Putting off fear so that you can move forward creates fulfillment.

Shame is a tool of the devil.

Reflects on the specifics of his recent prayers.

He saw in his wife an attractive spirit when they met. She brought out the spirituality out of him.

He was strengthened by starting to pray with Jen, even though it just started with praying over meals.

Being prayerful in general is a way to be closer to God.

The Atonement is something to be continually happy about.

The Saints have a history of keeping their heads up.

Missionaries

Elder Stewart and Elder Harris love being in our ward! They would love to meet with you, and promise to keep the visit under 30 minutes. They have met with many of us, but would love to share a message with your family if they haven't already.

Wednesday and Thursday nights they are available at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30.

Send them a text at 702-810-2196 for your family visit!

Come Follow Me

This week our families are studying: D&C 29 "Jesus Will Gather His People"

I really liked both of these pictures that go with this week's lesson.

Please take some time this week to reach out to those in our ward who haven't been out to Church for a while. Let them know we miss them and care about them.
